Grant Bowbeer DDS MS

         Dr. Bowbeer graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School. He served as a dental officer in the United States Air Force, before joining his father’s general dentistry practice in Wyandotte, Michigan. He returned to the University of Michigan obtaining his Masters Degree in Orthodontics, and opened his own private practice on Stadium Boulevard.

        He incorporated functional and orthopedic appliances that allowed full dental arch development which created better smiles and greatly reduced the need to remove permanent teeth as part of orthodontic treatment.

        He has developed a diagnostic method of facial analysis that matches the facial esthetics of fashion models and movie stars. Many of his patients have won "Best Smile" awards in their school groups. Several local dentists have said they can recognize his smiles for their attractiveness.

        He has developed a method of TMD diagnosis and treatment that has been very effective in getting patients out of pain and dysfunction in a short period of time regardless of how long they have had problems.

        He has been lecturing since 1985 on facial esthetics, proper orthodontic diagnosis, functional orthodontics, and effective TMD diagnosis and treatment. He has lectured at several national meetings. He is an instructor for the United States Dental Institute and lectures several times a year . He also lectures for study groups throughout the United States and several other countries.

        He is a member of the International Association of  Orthodontics (IAO). He is a contributing editor for their journal, The Functional Orthodontist and has written 14 articles on treatment based on facial esthetics and proper TMJ function. The AAFO (merged in Dec 2008 with the IAO) has twice awarded him "Clinician of the Year", most recently in 2007.

        Dr. Bowbeer, lives in Pinckney. His interests include photography, skiing, boating, and travel.
